Canine Fiction

(1) To develop new stories with fictional dogs. My current effort is a short animated film about sled dogs and ghost stories. I’m also developing a story with hyenas. (Hyenas aren’t canine, but there are many similarities.) I’m using my experience and my observations of real animals in order to create believable animal characters.

(2) To analyze stories with fictional dogs. In 2008, I began with the analysis of fictional dog stories when I was a student at the university, and today I continue the project independently. I’ve assembled a library of fictional dog stories, and worked on many analytical essays, but I still have to organize and publish the materials. I’m currently reviewing dog stories on my blog.
